It mainly offers one-on-one competitive gameplay with a limited set of single-player modes. There are 4 single player modes (Sprint, Blitz, Zen and Custom) and 3 multiplayer modes (Quick Play, Custom Rooms and Tetra League).
- Sprint - is a mode in which players have the task of passing 40 lines in the fastest possible time.
- Flash - is a 2-minute scoring attack, similar to Ultra game modes in most other modern games.
- Zen - the player can choose from many settings in the Zen menu. Players can easily set settings through the sidebar and change settings like gravity, rotation and spin systems, etc.
- Custom - the player can specify even more settings than in Zen mode, such as board size, rotation, etc. Usually used just for fun. (You can press Ctrl-Z to undo and Ctrl-X to redo)
- Tetra League - when the player reaches level 10, he can play TETRA LEAGUE. Anonymous players cannot play this mode. Each TETRA LEAGUE game is a 1v1 match, with a FT3 (first to 3), FT5 (first to 5) or FT7 (first to 7) format based on the rank of one of the players. The rating system is called Tetra Rating (TR), which is based on Glicko-2. TR increases for each win and decreases exclusively for each loss. When playing this mode for the first time, the player must play at least 10 ranked matches, called "rating games", to display his TR. A letter rank is assigned to all players with less than 100 RD (short for Rating Deviation) based on their percentile on the leaderboard. RD is usually reduced to a lower limit of 58 RD each time a player plays TETRA LEAGUE game, and slowly increases at a fixed rate of 1 RD per day after a week of inactivity, leading to a maximum of 350 RD.
- Quick Play - is a public FFA room.
- Custom Rooms - players can create public or private room. A room ID consisting of 4 alphanumeric characters is generated after creating a room, which can be shared with other players to join that room. Public rooms can be accessed via ROOM LIST. Private rooms can be accessed by entering a room ID or an invitation from a friend. You can change many settings in a custom room. This includes the spin system, transient modes, gravity and more.
