Once the game loads, click the "PLAY" button. To play with a friend, click the "2 PLAYER" button. You can set your in-game character and arena however you want, then click the "START" button to start the match.
During the game, power-ups appear in three different types. You can get them by hitting the puck. Green power-ups are a benefit to your character in the game. Red power-ups are a disadvantage to your character in the game. Yellow power-ups can be beneficial or detrimental to your character in the game.
